The 16th BiAnnual MPS & Related Diseases Society conference will be held in beautiful Glenelg, South Australia from Friday 28 February - Sunday 1 March, 2020.

We look forward to our next conference where there will be a large focus on emerging therapies and trials including current and ongoing Gene Therapy trials happening around the world. We will be taking families through the more complex parts of the NDIS and structuring workshops and sessions around how to ask for therapies and supports for your child or adult accessing the NDIS. And as usual there will be plenty of time for our families to reconnect with fellow MPS families and for our new families to put names to faces and form those local connections with families as they embark on their MPS journey. 

This year our theme is: Our Future, Our Hope.

This year’s theme is a nod to where not only therapy but also supports have advanced. For years we at the Society have spoken about therapies in development at our conferences and in 2020 we are now living in the era where those therapies and trials are coming to fruition. Our hope has always been for more effective therapies but also better access to disability supports in our day to day life. We hope that at this conference we are able to arm our families with information to ensure they are getting the most out of the NDIS.
